Possible unlawful application of law by the members of ONPE and RENIEC can be remedied by the election dispute resolution mechanism. There already exist procedures for establishing their criminal and disciplinary responsibility. They do not need to enjoy political trust: their faithful application of the law is the basis for public trust in them.
