(1) On the basis of a notification to that effect about Hungarian citizens recorded in the electoral register of another Member State of the European Union for the election of the Members of the European Parliament, or a certificate issued by the competent authority of the Member State concerned submitted by the voter, the National Election Office shall, by the closing of the electoral register at the latest, deregister the voters concerned from the polling district electoral register of the election of the Members of the European Parliament and from the postal voter electoral register.

(2) If, by the closing of the electoral register at the latest, the voter concerned who holds Hungarian citizenship proves by means of a certificate issued by the competent authority of the Member State concerned that he was deregistered from the electoral register of another Member State of the European Union, the National Election Office shall enter him into the polling district electoral register of the election of the Member of the European Parliament or the postal voter electoral register.
