The position in the electoral body is honorary.
Members of electoral bodies must perform their duties conscientiously, responsibly and must act only on the basis of laws and other regulations, independently of any other instructions.
Members of electoral bodies have the right to appropriate compensation and reimbursement of expenses due to their work in the electoral body . The amount of compensation or reimbursement of expenses of members of electoral bodies, secretaries and other persons performing duties in elections is determined by the state election commission in agreement with the ministry responsible for finance. For members of the State Electoral Commission, the amount of compensation is determined for each month of the implementation of electoral tasks based on the basic salary of the President of the Constitutional Court, namely for the President of the State Electoral Commission and his deputy in the amount of no more than one quarter of the basic salary of the President of the Constitutional Court, for other members of the State Electoral Commission commissions in the amount of no more than one-sixth of the basic salary of the President of the Constitutional Court. The National Electoral Commission determines the amount of compensation depending on participation in meetings and other activities. During the time when there are no elections, the president of the state election commission receives compensation in the amount of 10% of the basic salary of the president of the constitutional court, and his deputy receives compensation in the amount of 5% of the basic salary of the president of the constitutional court.
