Electronic voting procedure


(1) A voter may vote using electronic means on the days prescribed in clause 4 of subsection 2 of § 31 of thisAct using the system provided in subsection 1 of § 482of the Riigikogu Election Act. [RT I, 09.07.2018, 1 – entry into force 01.01.2021]


(2) A voter is identified in the electronic voting system using electronic means pursuant to the resolutionspecified in clause 1 of subsection 3 of § 482and the provisions of clause 2 of § 485of the Riigikogu Election Act.

(3) After identification of the voter, the text on the ballot paper is displayed to the voter.


(4) A voter marks the answer “ jah” [yes] or “ ei” [no]. The application used for electronic voting encrypts the voter’s vote using the vote-encryption key. The voter confirms the vote by a digital signature in compliance with the requirements of the Electronic Identification and Trust Services for Electronic Transactions Act. (5) A notice that the vote has been taken into account is displayed to the voter after the voting is confirmed.[RT I, 06.05.2016, 1 – entry into force 01.01.2017]
