Setting the date of Elections

(1) The date of Elections of the President of the Republic of Moldova shall be set by the decision of the Parliament, at least 70 days before the Elections Days.

(2) Presidential Elections shall be held within 90 days from the date on which the vacancy for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova occurred, but not later than the term established by Art. 90 (4) of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.

(3) In case the vacancy for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova oc­curred due to resignation, dismissal, definitive inability to perform duties, or death, elec­tions are organized within 2 months from the date the vacancy occurred.
