Restrictions on holding the Republican Referendum


(1) The Republican Referendum shall not be conducted in the event of establish ment/declaration of a state of emergency, of siege or of war, or within the 120 days after the respective status was lifted. If the period in respect of which it was established/de clared the state of emergency, of siege or of war overlaps with the date of the Republican Referendum, set before the establishment/declaration of that state, the referendum shall  be cancelled de jure or postponed to another day, in compliance with the time limits laid down in this Code. The decision to postpone a republican referendum shall be adopted by the body which issued the decision to hold the referendum.


(2) The Republican Referendum shall not be conducted 70 days before or 60 days after the day of Parliamentary, Presidential and General Local Elections, unless it is held on the same day as the Parliamentary or Presidential Elections. On the same day can’t be conducted two Republican Referendum. On the same day with General Local Elections, can’t be conducted any type of Republican Referendum.
