Polling day   The European Parliamentary elections are held every fifth year.   The polling day for the European Parliamentary elections is the Sunday that is included in the four-day period from Thursday to Sunday in June stipulated by the Council of the European Union. If the elections can not be held in the member states during the afore-mentioned time period, the Council of the European Union will stipulate another time period for the elections, in which case the polling day shall be the Sunday included in this time period.
