99. The Code contains detailed provisions regarding incompatibilities among various elective offices (Article 8). If such incompatibilities are not contained or inherent in the Constitution, then they should be thought through carefully. Thus there is a variety of comparative practice on service of parliamentarians as ministers, based on different policies and conceptions of the separation of executive and legislative powers. The choice is one which is best made on the basis of experience.
