Nominations of candidates in a presidential election must be supported by a list of signatures of at least 10,000 registered voters, or 30 Members of Parliament.[86] In other types of election, organisations other than political parties must accompany their nomination of candidates with a petition containing a certain number of signatures of registered voters.[87]
