In one place in the Code, a provision of the Draft Code regarding suspension of voting in case of non-response by the police to a security problem has been deleted.[98] This is curious, in view of the provision that in case of non-response by the police to a request for intervention by the electoral board, and if “there was a need for such an intervention and that this has influenced the conduct of the voting in the polling station”, the SEC would be required to annul the results there.[
