The electoral system in Ukraine has already undergone several modifications and amendments. At present, the legal basis for organising parliamentary elections is the Law of Ukraine “On Elections of People’s Deputies of Ukraine (VVR 2004, N 27-28, p. 366) amended by the Law of Ukraine on making amendments to the law of Ukraine on elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine of 7 July 2005.
