Paragraph 19

Article 4.11 of the Election Law states that a voter “may support only one political party or independent candidate on the signature support form”. The signature support process is not an election itself and there does not appear to be a justifiable reason for limiting the right of voters to support the ballot access efforts of more than one candidate. A voter should be able to support more than one candidacy with the voter’s signature. It is recommended that Article 4.11 be amended to remove this restriction on voters.
