Article 89.2 The immediate meeting of Parliament is desirable. But Article 89.3 could lead to rancorous conflict if there is no agreement about the date of the election. It is better to fix it by statute than to make the choice of date a matter of debate – and this is true whether the election is in 45 or 60 days.
