The Electoral Council is responsible for:

• a. acting as a central electoral committee in cases prescribed by law;

• b. advising the government and both Houses of Parliament on implementation-technical matters concerning the right to vote or elections;

• c. ensuring the software used in elections in accordance with the provisions to be established by or pursuant to this Act;

• d. collecting the results of elections held pursuant to this Act and making them publicly available;

• e. carrying out the other tasks assigned to it in this Act.
