• 1. The Electoral Council consists of a chairperson and six other members. The Electoral Council may appoint vice-chairpersons from among its members.

• 2. Article 11 of the Framework Act on Advisory Bodies applies to the Electoral Council.

• 3. The members of the Electoral Council are appointed based on their expertise in the field of electoral law and elections. Article 12, paragraph 3, of the Advisory Committees Framework Act applies.

• 4. The members of the Electoral Council may be dismissed by Our Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations at their own request. They may also be suspended or dismissed by Royal Decree due to unsuitability, incompetence, or other compelling reasons relating to the person concerned. A recommendation for suspension or dismissal shall not be made until the Electoral Council has been consulted on the matter.
