• 1. The members of the House of Representatives elected after the dissolution of the House of Representatives shall retire simultaneously on the Wednesday following the following Wednesday in the period referred to in Article C 1, paragraph 2, after four years have elapsed since the meeting of the central electoral committee at which the election results were announced.

• 2. If these four years end in a period beginning with the date referred to in Article C 1, paragraph 2, and ending on the Wednesday in the period from 25 to 31 May, to be determined by the President of the House of Representatives, they shall retire with effect from the first Wednesday in the period referred to in that paragraph after three years have elapsed since the meeting of the central electoral committee.
