• 1. If the date specified in Article C 1, paragraph 2, or in Article C 2 falls in a year in which elections for members of the Provincial Council or the Municipal Council, respectively, are held, the members of the House of Representatives shall retire simultaneously on a date to be determined by the President of the House of Representatives, namely the Wednesday in the period from 25 to 31 May.

• 2. The members of the House of Representatives elected to fill the positions of members who resigned on the date referred to in the first paragraph shall, unless the situation referred to in the first paragraph occurs again, resign simultaneously on a date to be determined by the President of the House of Representatives on the next Wednesday in the period referred to in Article C 1, second paragraph, after three years have elapsed since the meeting of the central electoral committee at which the election results were announced.
