• 1. The chairperson opens the ballots.
• 2. He or she then announces for each ballot which list and which candidate it applies to. If there is a blank or invalid vote, he or she also reports this.
• 3. After one member of the polling station has checked the ballot, the other two members keep a record of each vote cast.
