Members of the European Parliament may be:
• a. those who meet the requirements for membership of the States General set out in Article 56 of the Constitution;
• b. non-Dutch nationals who are citizens of other Member States of the European Union, provided they:
o 1° have their actual place of residence in the European part of the Netherlands,
o 2° have reached the age of eighteen, and
o 3° are not excluded from the right to be elected, either in the Netherlands or in the Member State of which they are citizens.
