• 1. The House of Representatives shall examine as soon as possible whether the appointee can be admitted as a Member of the European Parliament on the basis of national provisions.

• 2. Articles V 1 through V 4a and V 5 through V 10 shall apply accordingly, with the understanding that where these articles refer to the representative body or the body for which the appointment was made, the House of Representatives shall take its place.
